UPDATE: Surveillance video showing one of the last moments 21-year-old Ally Kostial was alive has surfaced


UPDATE: (7/26/19) The video released by the city of Oxford shows the Ole Miss student walking out of a bar just before midnight on Saturday (7/20).

According to Kostial’s roommate, she returned home around midnight but just hours later, her body was discovered by an officer on patrol about 30 miles away from the University.

A preliminary autopsy revealed Kostial died of multiple gunshot wounds.

On Monday (7/22), 22-year-old Brandon Theesfeld was arrested at a gas station in Tennessee.

According to police, he appeared to have blood on his clothes and a weapon was discovered in his vehicle.

UPDATE: (7/24/19) The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Brandon Theefield yesterday.

Authorities believe he is responsible for the death of 21-year-old Ole Miss student Ally Kostial.

The 21-year-old was found dead Saturday night near a lake 30-miles away from campus.

Theefield was booked and taken to county jail where he stayed until was arraigned today.

There is no word at this time if he will make bail.

Kostial was in Summer school working towards a Bachelor’s degree in marketing.


OXFORD, Miss. – (7/23/19) The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department says deputies on routine patrol at Sardis Lake found the body of 21-year-old Ally Kostial, originally from St. Louis.

The University of Mississippi confirmed that Kostial is an enrolled student majoring in marketing.

Investigators say it’s apparent foul play was involved but did not release how she died.

Neighbors who live down the shore say they knew something was wrong Saturday morning when they saw first responders in their small, remote neighborhood.
