MADISON PARISH, LA (Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office Press Release) — A joint effort between several law enforcement agencies sent a shock wave through Madison Parish Tuesday morning, as officers arrested more than a dozen wanted suspects, all on drug-related charges.
 
MPSO Sheriff Larry Cox said law enforcement agents with the Louisiana State Police’s criminal division and narcotics division, as well as investigators with the Tensas and Richland parish sheriff’s offices were also called in to assist in the rash of arrests.
 
“We have been conducting undercover drug investigations over the last six months, which led to the arrests of 16 people,” Cox said. “Other arrests are expected.”
 
Cox said all of the arrests were made within Madison Parish, including: 
 
Jeramie Clack, of Tallulah, for two counts of distribution of methamphetamines, and held on a $60,000 bond; 
Calvin Hardy, 28, of Tallulah, for one count of distribution of marijuana, and held on a $30,000 bond; 
Antuan Wright, 37, of Tallulah, for one count of distribution of meth and one count of distribution of marijuana, and held on a $60,000 bond; 
Byron James, 45, of Tallulah, for three counts of distribution of crack cocaine and held on a $90,000 bond; 
Allen Peacock, 28, of Tallulah, for three counts of distribution of meth, schedule II, and held on a $90,000 bond; 
Eric Christopher, 41, of Tallulah, for one count of distribution of marijuana and held on a $30,000 bond; 
Deondrus L. Long, 39, of Tallulah, for one count of distribution of marijuana and one count of distribution of Oxycodone, schedule II, and held on a $60,000 bond; 
James Fletcher, 32, of Tallulah, for one count of distribution of marijuana, and held on a $30,000 bond; 
Edward Banks, 26, of Tallulah, for two counts of distribution of crack cocaine, and held on a $60,000 bond; 
James Robinson, 19, of Tallulah, for one count of distribution of marijuana, and held on a $30,000; 
Carolyn Neal, 39, of Tallulah for one count of Lorcet, schedule II and one count of distribution of Xanax, schedule IV, and held on a $60,000 bond; 
Tyrone Edward, 32, of Tallulah, for one count of distribution of prescription drug without prescription, and held on a $30,000 bond; 
Dewanda Robinson Douglas, 49, of Tallulah, for one count of distribution of crack cocaine, and held on a $30,000 bond; 
Marvin Guy, 37, of Tallulah, for one count of distribution of crack cocaine, and held on a $30,000 bond; 
George Brad Matthews, 39, of Tallulah, for one count of distribution of meth, and held on a $30,000 bond; 
James Edward Lee, 34, of Tallulah, for one count of distribution of schedule II cocaine, and held on a $30,000.
 
Cox said the investigation is ongoing and other arrests are expected to be made in the near future.
