Weekend Weather: Sunday, May 5th

(5/5/19) Happy Sunday! The clouds were tough to clear this morning but eventually they did, which lead to a sunny second half of the day.

Things will be quiet tonight with lows dipping into the lower 60’s. We could have a few passing clouds but skies should be mostly clear.

Tomorrow will be fairly similar today, but temperatures will be on the warmer side. Highs will get into the upper 80’s. It will be muggy as well.

Rain chances move back in during the evening Tuesday, with showers and thunderstorms becoming more widespread through the night ansd majority of the day Wednesday.

Things get tricky from Wednesday night through Thursday. Lastest computer models are advertising that storms may take a bite of the instability, which could limit severe potential. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer.

One thing that is expected is the heavy rain potenital. At this time it looks like the ArkLaMiss could pick up anywhere from 2-6 inches of rain through the course of the week. This will not help our local water ways out at all.
