Coronavirus in Louisiana: State reports 920 new cases, 21 new deaths on Sunday

BATON ROUGE, La. — According to the Louisiana Department of Health website, Louisiana reported 920 new cases and 21 new deaths on Sunday. This latest update brings the total number of cases to 164,851 and the total number of deaths to 5,283 for the state.

This is a reflection of 2 days worth of additional cases.

In Northeast Louisiana, 192 new cases were reported while two cases were rescinded. Ouachita Parish is still reporting the most cases and deaths in our area with 6,249 cases and 143 deaths. On Sunday, La Salle Parish had two cases rescinded from their total case count.

Ouachita Parish, Union Parish, Richland Parish, and Concordia Parish all reported one additional death each.

  • Ouachita Parish – 6,249 cases, 143 deaths (56 new cases, 1 new death)
  • Lincoln Parish – 1,321 cases, 48 deaths (52 new cases)
  • Franklin Parish – 1,204 cases, 38 deaths (2 new cases)
  • Union Parish – 969 cases, 43 deaths (6 new cases, 1 new death)
  • Madison Parish – 877 cases, 8 deaths (7 new cases)
  • Morehouse Parish – 780 cases, 22 deaths (4 new cases)
  • Richland Parish – 786 cases, 11 deaths (34 new cases, 1 new death)
  • Jackson Parish – 649 cases, 22 deaths (9 new cases)
  • Winn Parish – 628 cases, 18 deaths (7 new cases)
  • East Carroll Parish – 549 cases, 4 deaths (6 new cases)
  • Concordia Parish – 511 cases, 14 deaths (1 new case, 1 new death)
  • Catahoula Parish – 436 cases, 10 deaths (3 new cases)
  • La Salle Parish – 423 cases, 7 deaths (2 cases rescinded)
  • West Carroll Parish – 349 cases, 10 deaths (4 new cases)
  • Caldwell Parish – 301 cases, 3 deaths (1 new case)
  • Tensas Parish – 161 cases, 2 deaths (no change)
