Coronavirus in Louisiana: State reports 1,625 new cases, 27 new deaths on Sunday

BATON ROUGE, La. — This update is a reflection of 2 days worth of cases. The Louisiana Department of Health reported 1,645 new cases and 27 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 147,867 and the total number of deaths to 4,768 for the state.

In Northeast Louisiana, 109 new cases and 2 new deaths were reported. Ouachita Parish is still reporting the most cases and deaths in our area with 5,441 cases and 128 deaths.

Lincoln Parish and East Carroll Parish both reported 1 new death each.

Here is a list of local parishes reporting cases and death:

  • Ouachita Parish – 5,441 cases, 128 deaths (27 new cases)
  • Franklin Parish – 1,081 cases, 29 deaths (4 new cases)
  • Lincoln Parish – 905 cases, 40 deaths (9 new cases, 1 new death)
  • Union Parish – 823 cases, 39 deaths (5 new cases)
  • Madison Parish – 790 cases, 7 deaths (7 new cases)
  • Richland Parish – 686 cases, 9 deaths (4 new cases)
  • Morehouse Parish – 595 cases, 17 deaths (8 new cases)
  • Winn Parish – 546 cases, 16 deaths (4 new cases)
  • East Carroll Parish – 532 cases, 3 deaths (1 new case, 1 new death)
  • Jackson Parish – 470 cases, 21 deaths (19 new cases)
  • Concordia Parish – 433 cases, 10 deaths (6 new cases)
  • La Salle Parish – 382 cases, 5 deaths (no change)
  • Catahoula Parish – 369 cases, 6 deaths (3 new cases)
  • West Carroll Parish – 312 cases, 9 deaths (no change)
  • Caldwell Parish – 278 cases, 3 death (2 new cases)
  • Tensas Parish – 147 cases, 1 death (10 new cases)
