Coronavirus in Louisiana: State now reporting 128,746 total cases, 4,089 total deaths

BATON ROUGE, La. — The Louisiana Department of Health reported 1,500 new cases and 61 new deaths on Friday.

This update brought the total number of cases to 128,746 and the total number of deaths to 4,089 for the state.

In Northeast Louisiana, there were 195 new cases and 4 new deaths reported. Ouachita Parish is still reporting the most cases and deaths in our area with 4,787 cases and 111 deaths.

Today, the LDH reported 2 new deaths in Ouachita Parish, 1 new death in Lincoln Parish, and 1 new death in Concordia Parish.

Here is a list of local parishes reporting cases and death:

  • Ouachita Parish – 4,787 cases, 111 deaths (78 new cases, 2 new deaths)
  • Franklin Parish – 896 cases, 17 deaths (21 new cases)
  • Lincoln Parish – 766 cases, 29 deaths (12 new cases, 1 new death)
  • Union Parish – 675 cases, 33 deaths (6 new cases)
  • Madison Parish – 609 cases, 6 deaths (8 new cases)
  • Richland Parish – 586 cases, 7 deaths (9 new cases)
  • East Carroll Parish – 518 cases, 1 death (4 new cases)
  • Morehouse Parish – 494 cases, 11 deaths (15new cases)
  • Winn Parish – 413 cases, 7 deaths (3 new cases)
  • Jackson Parish – 368 cases, 18 deaths (no changes)
  • Concordia Parish – 303 cases, 9 deaths (3 new cases, 1 new death)
  • Catahoula Parish – 280 cases, 5 deaths (4 new cases)
  • West Carroll Parish – 287 cases, 5 deaths (10 new cases)
  • La Salle Parish – 268 cases, 2 death (15 new cases)
  • Caldwell Parish – 212 cases, 2 death (5 new cases)
  • Tensas Parish – 70 cases, 0 deaths (2 new cases)
