UPDATE: Louisiana Tech normal operations set to resume


UPDATE (11:00 A.M.): Louisiana Tech University has posted on their Facebook page that operations will resume at 1:00 p.m. Thursday. Classes and academic activities will resume Friday.

“Administrative operations will resume at 1:00pm. Deans and individual unit heads will direct personnel accordingly and as needed, based on available power to their facilities.”

“Power to support basic housing and food service are currently being restored. Classes and academic activities (main campus and South campus) will be cancelled for remainder of day, but will resume tomorrow (Friday).”


UPDATE (10:00 A.M.): Louisiana Tech University is asking teachers and students to check Louisiana Tech’s Emergency Notification System and social media sites regularly for updates. 

At this time, they expect to resume normal class and campus schedules this afternoon.

“Power outages reported on Louisiana Tech’s campus and around Ruston. Use caution when driving to campus, treat intersections as 4-way stops.”

“Classes and campus ops will be cancelled this morning (3/30) due to power outage. Stay tuned, updates to will be provided as available.”
