(03/19/19) Last month, our NBC 10/FOX 14 ‘One Paycheck Away’ special report showed how many of us need help with our money and the groups in Northeast Louisiana that are ready to help.

Today, the United Way of Northeast Louisiana shared that message with 15 different United Way chapters from throughout the Gulf South.

NBC 10/FOX 14’s General Manager and News Director were invited to explain how we partnered with the United Way to shine a spotlight on A.L.I.C.E., which stands for Asset Constrained, Income-Limited and Employed.

The United Way hopes to be able to model our efforts to impact people well beyond the Arklamiss.

“We work really hard to make a difference, and there are so many great things happening. And so we want to learn from one another, so that we can bring it home to our communities and build upon these great ideas that are spurring up throughout our state and across the Gulf South,” said Sarah Berthelot, the president and CEO of the Louisiana Association of United Ways.
