A man wanted for murder in Magnolia, Arkansas has been arrested in Bossier City.
U.S. Marshals took 24-year-old Stephen Terrell Smith into custody early Sunday morning.
He’s charged with 1st degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Jarious Shaw.
Shaw was found shot in the chest in the backyard of a home in the 200 block of Norma Street in Magnolia last Monday.
He later died at the hospital.
A Monroe couple has been arrested after a fight between the two turned violent.
Police say Kurtisha Brown got upset with her boyfriend of three years, Nejuan Franklin, after finding out he was talking to another woman.
Police say when she grabbed him by the neck, Franklin took his belt off and began whipping her.
Brown had welts across her body, while Franklin had multiple scratches and marks on his neck.
The couple’s two infant children were both present at the time of the altercation.
Brown and Franklin have both been charged with domestic abuse battery and child endangerment.
