A Monroe man is behind bars after driving a car through his home while two children were inside.

Monroe police say 27-year-old Deangelo Toston used his truck to push his girlfriend’s car through the living room wall of their house.

Two kids were asleep on a couch directly behind that wall when it happened.

Police say the car moved the couch several inches, but the children weren’t hurt.

Toston is charged with reckless operation, domestic abuse aggravated assault, and child endangerment.

His bond is $5,000.

The Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Department is still searching for an alleged rapist.

Deputies say the victim was walking behind the EZ-mart in Ruston when the suspect pulled up in a black Tahoe offering her a ride.

They say the suspect then told her she was under arrest.

He drove her from Ruston into Jackson parish, where he dropped her off somewhere on Edmiston Road.

The victim told police she was raped, choked, and pepper sprayed.

Deputies say the suspect is a light skinned black male.

If anyone knows the driver of this vehicle you’re asked to contact the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office at (318) 259-9021 or Crimestoppers at (318) 388-CASH.
