Monroe City Council has passed a budget for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
Council passed the proposed $61.3 million operating budget in a unanimous vote during Tuesday night’s regular meeting.
The mayor says water, infrastructure and flooding remain a high priority.
Council remains focused on parks, community centers and transportation.
The city ended it’s 2018-2019 fiscal year with close to a $14 million surplus.
