Beer & Bards

Beer & Bards takes place on the 2nd Thursday of every month at Enoch’s Irish Cafe and Pub. It begins at roughly 7:00pm and lasts anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. They ask for readers from all walks of life whether they be students, teachers, published authors, or just the casual connoisseur of short fiction and/or poetry from within the community, the state, or anywhere in the world! Team Rally + Fun Run

It is time for the First National Bank Bayou DeSiard Dragon Boat Festival Team Rally! The Flying Tiger Brewery will be joined by their friends from Fleet Feet Monroe who will provide some training tips as well as lead you in a FREE FUN RUN! There will be two courses. Come learn about the Dragon Boat Festival and the local non-profit it benefits – the Children’s Coalition for Northeast Louisiana! La’ Louisianne Crawfish Boil

Join the ULM Alumni Association at Malone Stadium in the South End Zone under the scoreboard for their annual La’ Louisianne Crawfish Boil that coincides with the Warhawk football spring game. Tickets include all you can eat crawfish from Riverside Coney Island, beer from Marsala Beverage, and soft drinks from Coca-Cola Bottling Company. Afterwards stay and enjoy watching the 2019 Warhawk football team.

Off the Wall 10th Anniversary

Join the Masur Museum of Art for the 10th Annual Off the Wall fundraiser! OTW is the area’s premier art auction featuring an excellent selection of affordable art by artists in our community and all over the country. They also offer an expanded bar and delicious food, both of which will nicely pair with live music. And don’t forget the ever-popular Bon Voyage Trip Raffle. The raffle is a trip to the destination of your choice for a value up to $3,000. They will also be selling raffle tickets for an original painting created on-site at the event by a talented local artist. Proceeds from Off the Wall support exhibitions and educational programs at the Masur Museum of Art. As the largest visual arts museum in northeast Louisiana, the Masur Museum of Art is vital to providing quality visual art experiences to the community of Northeast Louisiana. This is accomplished through temporary exhibitions, educational programs for all ages, and the management of a permanent collection.

Monroe BASH

BASH is a military-themed, fun-filled evening benefiting the American Red Cross of Northeast Louisiana. Now in its 22nd year, BASH offers participants a chance to enjoy fabulous food and refreshments from Outback Steakhouse and Marsala Beverage, catch the on-going world tour of The Flaming Asburys and bid on unique auction items, such as a rare framed Beatles Album signed by all four Beatles. And all to support the programs and services of the Red Cross in our community.

Fashion Fusion 2019

On Saturday April 13, 2019 the Debbie Bourg Dancers will team up with local boutiques to host Fashion Fusion 2019, a runway show benefitting the Cancer Foundation League. See all of the latest styles from Bayou Belles, Bayou Gents, Cara’s, Cest La Vie, Clinton Whitney Designs, Dusty & Company, Eleven26, Heirloom, Hemline, HerringStone’s, K-Sera, River Outfitters, Ron Alexander, The Fleurty Ginger Boutique, and Uptown Girl. The Cancer Foundation League provides financial assistance to Northeast Louisiana cancer patients and supports the programs and services of the Louisiana Cancer Foundation including the annual four free cancer screenings offered to Northeast LA citizens: Breast/Cervical in January, Colorectal in March, Skin in May, and Prostate in September. The League pays for medications, medical supplies, transportation to/from treatment, lodging during treatment, nutritional supplements, household bills and delivers Christmas baskets to individuals that need help each year throughout NE Louisiana. There are no Salaries or benefits paid from the money raised. CFL members are all volunteers. Every penny raised goes to helping NELA cancer patients and supporting the LCF.
