MONROE / EL DORADO
-- 2014's tropical season has ended. We had a total of 8 named storms. There were two major hurricanes: Gonzalo (category 4, max winds 145mph) and Edouard (category 3, max winds 115mph). Hurricane Arthur was the only storm to make a landfall in the US mainland. The Gulf of Mexico was relatively quiet. And the entire Atlantic Basin was relatively quiet compared to the Pacific Basin.
