Rain started on Saturday evening for locations like Shreveport, Louisiana. At the Shreveport airport, over 3.00" of rain have been recorded since Saturday. In El Dorado, approximately 0.75" of rain has been reported as of Sunday morning. And in Monroe, less than approximately 0.25" of rain has been reported so far.
The on and off showers will continue through most of Sunday along and ahead of the cold front. During the afternoon, some daytime heating will assist in the development of thunderstorms across south Arkansas, north Louisiana, and central Louisiana. Heavy downpours, as well as occasional lightning and thunder, are possible with the storms. However, no severe weather is expected because the daytime heating will be limited by significant cloud cover.
About an additional 0.50" to 1.50" of rain is possible through Sunday night across the ArkLaMiss.
