Weather Update - Sunday September 10th

WEST MONROE, La - Across the ArkLaMiss, we had beautiful conditions as well as breezy conditions. Winds out of the north were gusting 15 MPH in some areas. These winds will calm down as we head into the overnight hours. Temperatures will also be cooling down to the low 60's and upper 50's in some areas. Tomorrow, we will see mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the low to mid 80's and with low humidity.

Irma is officially a Category 2 hurricane now and is expected to continue to move inland towards Georgia and Alabama over the next day. Irma will continue to lose strength and eventually become a low pressure system. Here in the ArkLaMiss, we do have the potential to see rain from Irma Tuesday afternoon/evening but this would be mostly for north of I-20 and for parishes and counties along the Mississippi River. Any rain will not be much, but we will keep an eye on this as we continue throughout this week.
