Weather Forecast- Tuesday, June 13th

WEST MONROE, La. - Good Tuesday morning, it's a mild start out there with temperatures in the lower 70's this morning. It's also a dry start, which is nice after yesterday. The airport received 1.48" yesterday but some spots in West Monroe and north Monroe got around 3"+ (radar indicated) which led to flash flooding issues. Viewers sent in photos of flooded cars and roads, mainly around the Garden District. Today we will see scattered showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening but likely not the same coverage as yesterday, so totals should be a bit lower. Nothing severe is expected. High temperatures this afternoon will be topping out around 89 degrees with partly cloudy skies and winds out of the southeast. Humidity will be high as well, heat index values will be in the mid 90's today.

Overnight tonight we should be drying out with low temperatures in the low to mid 70's.

Tomorrow is going to be similar to today, high temperatures will be a bit warmer topping out near 91 degrees. We will likely see some isolated showers flare up in the afternoon but a lot of us will stay dry. Winds will be out of the south and skies will be partly cloudy.
