WEST MONROE, La. - Good Thursday morning, and happy first day of June! It's the first day of 2017 Atlantic Hurricane Season and of meteorological summer. We are expected to be dealing with showers and thunderstorms throughout the morning and afternoon today. It'll be worth having the rain jacket handy. Temperatures today are going to be topping out around the low to mid 80s and winds will be out of the southeast. Skies will be mostly cloudy.
Overnight a lingering shower or two may remain but we should mostly be dried out. Lows will be falling back in the upper 60's and lower 70's.
Tomorrow we should be seeing a little bit less rain on the radar through the day. Isolated showers will be possible with highs in the mid 80's. Skies will be partly cloudy with humid conditions and winds from the southeast.
