WEST MONROE, La. - Good Thursday morning! It's a COLD start to the day here across the ArkLaMiss, again. Temperatures are down in the lower teens with clear skies and no precip. We will finally be warming up this afternoon thanks to southerly winds returning. Highs will be in the lower 40's with sunny skies. The rest of the ice and snow left on the ground will melt by the afternoon and road conditions should be back to normal!
Overnight lows are once again going to be dropping down into the lower 20's. Be sure to continue those cold weather preps by protecting outdoor pipes and keeping the pets inside! After tomorrow morning the remainder of the forecast will be above freezing.
Tomorrow temperatures will keep climbing, highs will be near 50° with mostly sunny skies and winds from the south. Those southerly winds will continue to tap into warmer air with more moisture, so some clouds will move in later in the day as well. Rain chances return to the forecast by Saturday afternoon.
