WEST MONROE, La. - Good Friday morning, it's an extremely muggy start outside today. Temperatures and dew points are both in the lower 70's, compared to our average low temperature of upper 40's for this time of the year. The humidity will be sticking around into the afternoon as we see high temperatures hit around 83° this afternoon with mostly cloudy skies and some scattered showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon. Winds will be out of the southwest.
Overnight those lows will once again drop into the upper 60's and lower 70's as the humidity and cloud cover both stick around, keeping temperatures near 20° above normal for early November.
Tomorrow we are going to see rain chances drop, only a few isolated showers in the area. Temperatures will be climbing into the lower 80's with mostly cloudy skies and winds from the southwest again. It will be a lot like today.
Don't forget to turn those clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday night! Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday morning and we will get one extra hour of sleep this weekend. Beginning Sunday, the sunrise will be around 6:30am and sunset at about 5:15pm.
