WEST MONROE, La. - Good Friday morning, it's a muggy start outside this morning and it feels like summer. Temperatures are sitting in the low to mid 70's and so are dew points, it's extremely humid! Yesterday was Monroe's first 90 degree day of the year and we will be seeing warm temps again today, topping out near 88 degrees. Skies will be mostly cloudy with winds from the south and we will likely see scattered showers throughout the afternoon. Any rain should be quick and light for today, but we will see those chance increase into the overnight hours and tomorrow.
Overnight lows will only be in the 70's again, clouds and high humidity will keep us mild. Scattered showers are also going to be rolling through the ArkLaMiss.
Saturday we are looking at showers and thunderstorms during the day, especially into the afternoon and evening. Most spots could see near half an inch of rain for the day, with mostly cloudy skies. A slight risk has been issued for parts of southern Arkansas tomorrow, the main threats will be damaging winds and some hail. If you have any weekend plans the rain jacket and umbrella are a must!
