WEST MONROE, La. - Good Friday morning, it's a muggy start outside this morning with temperatures sitting in the upper 70's. Today is going to be warm and humid all day, with high temperatures topping out in the lower 90's. Once you factor in the humidity, heat index values will be into the triple digits. Be sure to stay cool and stay hydrated. Rain chances are low, but there will be a chance for an isolated shower or two through the afternoon. Skies will be partly cloudy with winds out of the south.
Overnight lows will only be dropping into the mid 70's. Skies will be cloudy with winds from the south, and some showers and storms will move through as a front pushes south. Most of the rain and t'storm activity will occur north of I-20, as they will be weakening once they enter Louisiana. Southern Arkansas is under a marginal risk for severe storms overnight, which is very low. One or two severe storms is possible.
Tomorrow we are going to see scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Southern Arkansas is once again under a marginal risk for Saturday, meaning an isolated severe storm is possible. Highs will be in the low to mid 90's with some clouds in the sky. It will be warm and humid again, with winds from the southwest.
