Secondary cold front to clear out clouds

West Monroe, La. - Yesterday's cold front has continued to blanket the ArkLaMiss with cloud cover, although dry air has kept most of the rain from reaching the ground through the day.

The overcast skies will continue through much of tomorrow (Thursday) as temperatures struggle into the low 50s in the afternoon. A secondary cold front will bring another round of cold, dry air into the region early Friday. Behind the front, sunshine is likely to prevail through the weekend.

Temperatures will climb back into the mid 50s, maybe the low 60s by Monday, before another cold front enters the area. In all, upper-level winds favor a very dry pattern through the next week. Burn bans will likely remain in place, and no rain chances are expected through the first half of next week.
