Evening forecast for Thursday, September 21

Rain will have to wait, more heat this weekend

West Monroe, La. - Another day of limited rainfall that really sets the pattern to continue through the remainder of the work week and through the weekend. However, better rain chances are looming.

Easterly winds will likely pull in drier air tomorrow, and continue through Saturday. This will likely keep rain chances extremely isolated (around 10%) through Saturday.

Better rain chances are likely looming for late next week as a large, slow-moving storm system brings another cold front through the ArkLaMiss. The best rain chances will likely return Thursday into next weekend.

In the meantime, heat and humidity will make for some uncomfortable afternoons. Heat index values could reach the upper 90s to near 100° daily. Make sure you stay hydrated.
