West Monroe, La. - Some isolated storms along the Mississippi River was the only rain relief the ArkLaMiss saw today, and more prolonged warmth is in for the rest of the week.
High pressure building at the surface in the northeastern Gulf will likely keep quiet, dry conditions in through most of this work week. However, a weak disturbance could allow for some isolated showers and storms across south Arkansas Wednesday morning.
The upper-level pattern should break down early next week, allowing for more noticeable storm systems to move into the central United States. In the meantime, the summer pattern will continue with afternoon highs near 90° and morning lows in the mid 60s through the weekend.
