Evening forecast for Monday, December 4

Much needed rain returns Tuesday

West Monroe, La. - The long-awaited cold front and rainfall moves into the area tonight and continues through much of Tuesday for the ArkLaMiss. Unfortunately, the rain moves out almost as quickly as it moves in.

A strong cold front will move through the area tonight, triggering widespread showers across most of the region through the early half of the day tomorrow (Tuesday). A few storms will also be possible, but severe weather is not expected to be a factor.

Temperatures will start the day in the low 60s for Tuesday, but gradually fall through the day. By late afternoon, most locations will likely hover in the low 50s.

A distinct change in our upper-level pattern will allow for waves of cool, dry air to continue into the central U.S. through the rest of the week. While temperatures are expected to stay closer to seasonal norms, this will also draw a quick end to the rain chances in our area.
