PC Mike -- Black Friday is almost here, the start of yet another holiday shopping season and a day when wise shoppers are ready to snap up the best deals.
Planning a successful Black Friday shopping spree takes some preparation and there are lots of great apps to help you plan the perfect Black Friday shopping strategy.

The best app I’ve found for Black Friday shopping this year is called The Find. It lracks every product at every store, literally 500 million items at 500,000 stores. You can shop online deals or use the bar code to price compare at brick and mortar stores. It saves and organizes receipts and shipping details and can get you a price match instantly at Best Buy Walmart, Target, Toys R Us and other big box stores. It’s free for the iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Really, this is a great app for all year, not just lack Friday.

Also new on my shopping apps list this year is BuyVia, a website with iPhone and Android apps. It lets you search for your items through a synchronized account and it sends out alerts on the best deals in your local stores, as well as mobile coupon codes that will save you money. It’s free, for all major mobile platforms.

Finally, The folks at DealNews have two apps worth checking out. The basis DealNews app lets you browse over 100 deals a day from over 2000 online retailers and set up alerts so you’ll never miss the lowest price on your favorite items.

But for Good Friday, the DealNews Black Friday app for iPhone and Android sorts through Black Friday adds. Plan your trip, make a Black Friday shopping list, pull up a map to route your way to local stores and program in alerts for special late breaking deals on your favorite items. Totally free.
