UPDATE: Georgia Escapee Captured

Georgia Escapee who stole a car in Madison Parish is in custody

UPDATE 3:05 p.m.:  Louisiana State Police have taken James Clark into custody.  Clark and the stolen car were located near Moon Lake. 

Troopers say Clark’s charges include felon in possession of a firearm, fugitive from justice, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of marijuana. 




OUACHITA PARISH -- Ouachita and Madison Parish Sheriff's Deputies confirmed to KTVE/KARD that an escapee from Georgia is being looked for throughout North Louisiana.

Madison Parish Sheriff's Office officials say 40-year old James Christian Clark is an escaped inmate from Georgia who has been on the loose for about a year.

Late Monday night, he popped up on the radar again when the sheriff's office says he stole a car. Officials say he was last seen in the parish, apparently headed to Texas to pick up marijuana.

The car Clark stole is a burnt orange 2006 Nissan 350Z Roadster with a black ragtop. The car has a Louisiana plate #TKL696.

Clark is a white male, 6'0" and 275 pounds. If you have any information or have seen this burnt orange Nissan, called Madison Parish Sheriff's Office at 318-574-1831 or Louisiana State Police.
