UPDATE: El Dorado Murder Suspect Appears in Court

The suspect accused in the death of an El Dorado man made his first appearance in court Wednesday.

Wednesday Update: The suspect accused in the death of an El Dorado man made his first appearance in court Wednesday.

Lekameo Tibbs is accused of murder.

Police say he shot and killed 24-year-old Deddrick Williams Sunday night.

A judge has set his bond at $500,000.

His case has been transferred to a circuit court where a trial date will be set.



UPDATE:
El Dorado Police say the man responsible for shooting and killing a man Sunday night is now in custody.

On Monday night, Lekameo Jamar Tibbs surrendered himself to El Dorado Police at the Police Department.

He was booked and held on $1,000,000.00 cash only bond, charged with first degree murder.

Tibbs will have a first apperenance on Wednesday Oct. 9, 2013.




UPDATE  2:00 P.M.:

El Dorado police have issued a warrant for 23 year old Lekameo Tibbs for Murder in the first degree. Tibbs is a black male, 5'7" in height and wights approximately 136 lbs.  According to the arrest warrant, Tibbs will be held on $1 Million dollars bond.

El Dorado, AR. - El Dorado police are investigating the death of a 24 year old El Dorado man on Sunday night.  

Police say they responded to 1202 N Miles St. In El Dorado at approximately 11:50 P.M. on reports of gunshots in the area.

According to a police report, officers found 24 year old Deddrick Dewayne Williams of 526 Rustle St. in El Dorado face down in the front yard, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest.  

Williams was then transported to South Arkansas Medical Center where he died due to his injuries.  

According to police, the final cause of death will not be determined until a toxicology report is finished.

El Dorado Administrative Captain Kevin Holt says an investigation is ongoing and no suspects have been named.
