Suspect Arrested for Violating a Protective Order; Hit in the Head with a Crowbar

A Monroe man is facing charges for ramming his car into the car of his ex-girlfriend during a fight Monday night.
Monroe -- A Monroe man is facing charges for ramming his car into the car of his ex-girlfriend during a fight Monday night.

Police say it happened at 11:45 in the 900 Block of US 165.
The suspect is identified as Jacob Young.

Police say the female victim, armed with a crowbar, hit Jacob Young in the head and body.

As she was trying to leave, police say Young rammed his car into hers.
Young ran away, but was later located at an area hospital where he was being treated for injuries received during the dispute.

After being treated and released from the hospital, Young was arrested and booked at OCC for Hit and Run, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and Violation of a Protective Order.
