RUSTON, LA -- State Senator Elbert Guillory visits Ruston Monday.
Guillory recently announced he'll be running for Louisiana's Lieutenant Governor's seat in 2014.
Monday, he spoke before the North Central Louisiana TEA Party criticizing President Barack Obama's performance. He also told listeners about why he chose to become a republican after years as a democrat and why he's running for lieutenant governor.
"It gives me an opportunity to talk about the things that I believe Louisiana needs. Jobs, education, and safety, those are the three things that I believe are the under-bedding of the American dream. We just have to expand that American dream here in Louisiana," says Sen. Guillory.
Guillory says as lieutenant governor he will not sit off to the side, but rather be a voice for Louisiana in many areas, including tourism.
