Popeyes Chicken Sent To Help Saints Beat Seahawks

Word on the street is, to beat the birds, the boys in black and gold have to eat some bird!
NEW ORLEANS -- Even though this big game is on the other side of the country, the black and gold brought a little taste of home with them.

Popeyes!

Word on the street is, to beat the birds, the boys in black and gold have to eat some bird!

Apparently, back in 2009, the guys had Popeyes before every single playoff game and of course, that's the year they won the Super Bowl.

So just like last week, popeyes sent the Saints on the road with just a little bit of chicken. It's a little superstitious, but with a big game on the line, it certainly can't hurt.

"Superstition is great. We need to definitely get some Popeyes to the players before the game. It'll definitely help out," said Derek Stratton, a Saints Fan

"I think that when anybody thinks about the Saints, I think Popeyes and the Saints are a natural fit together, so it's been outstanding for our business. We had a great weekend last weekend and we look forward to another great weekend this weekend as the Saints win another playoff game," said Ralph Bowers, President of Popeyes.

They served up 125 three-piece chicken dinners to the team. When asked what Drew Brees' favorite was, Popeyes said 'anything he wants.'

All of the chicken was sent off to Seattle along with the team.
