MONROE -- Hundreds of people in the community will have a brighter Christmas thanks to a charity give-away on Saturday.
Whole hams, canned food, wrapped Christmas gifts and new toys were given to community members in Monroe.
Councilman Kenneth Wilson and several community leaders helped organize the giveaway in conjunction with positive enterprised for empowering the people.
"So excited to be able to give back, that's what it's all about its more blessed to give than to recieve." said Wilson.
This is their 9th year helping the community.
