MONROE -- Several homeless dogs found a new life on Saturday in Monroe.
PAWS of Northeast Louisiana held their first off-site adoption event of the year at the Petco in Monroe.
Several dogs of all shapes and sizes had a meet and greet with customers and other folks looking for a new addition to the family.
PAWS has these adoption events once a month and it's crucial in helping to find homes for dozens of loving pets.
"Today, we brought out 12 dogs and a cat and, so far, we have adopted six dogs and one dog will actually be adopted a little later on," said Jo Traylor with PAWS. "He's going on a transport to one of the northern states."
Their next offsite adoption is February 22.
Mark your calendars, too for the upcoming Mardis Gras Pet Parade on February 15 at 11 a.m.
