One person is dead after being run over outside a bar in Columbia, LA overnight.

Update:

Columbia police are still searching for the shooter from Saturday night's incident.

Police say the shooter was trying to aim for Dixon, but hit his wife instead.

Meanwhile, the family of Aeriel Craft has set up a bank account the community can donate to help with funeral costs.
Craft's grandmother says they are also planning Aeriel's grandfather's funeral in addition to hers.

Ronald Dixon has been charged with 2nd degree murder and attempted 2nd degree murder. His bond is set at $1.2 million.

The Columbia police chief said on Saturday night, he got into an argument with another man and tried to run him over with a van. In the process, he ended up running over two other people. Aeriel Craft was killed and the other victim, Victor Jenkins, is still recovering at a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating the shooting. One person was shot, Karen Dixon,  Ronald Dixon's wife. She was treated and released from the hospital. Police say that she was not the target of the shooting but was caught in the cross fire. Investigators are still trying to figure out who fired the shot.

COLUMBIA -- The community is calling it a senseless act.

The sheriff's office says a woman was run over and killed around 1 a.m. Saturday night in the parking lot of Cooper's Bar on Highway 849 in Columbia. Another person was shot in the incident.

Family members and friends of 30-year old Aeriel Craft have already laid flowers and crosses at the site.

"She was sweet person,she knew everybody and loved her kids. And she will truly be missed," said friend Tanieka Adams.

Craft's grandmother, Bobbie Nell Craft, says she was a mother of three young children.

"She was my only granddaughter, and I loved her," she said. "We did what we could for each other because she was a single mother."

"She had a big heart, she was a good cousin,and I'm gonna miss her," said Berstine Wooten, Craft's cousin.

Authorities say 43-year old Ronald Dixon has been arrested for her death.

"I  just want him to be put away," said Craft's grandmother. "Put away so that doesn't happen to nobody else."

Jail officials tell us Columbia police are still investigating the shooting incident.

Craft's family is planning ways to raise money to cover funeral costs.

CALDWELL PARISH -- One person is dead after being run over outside a bar in Columbia, LA overnight.

The victim is identified as 30 year-old Aeriel Craft. Her family says she was a single mother of three children.

We're told at least one other person was shot and an arrest has been made in connection to the run over.

The suspect is identified as 43-year-old Ronald Dixon.

Columbia Police is investigating, and Caldwell Parish Sheriff's Office is assisting.
