SHREVEPORT (KTAL) -- An officer involved shooting leaves two men injured and police looking for answers.

Our sister station, KTAL, reports that a Shreveport Police officer was involved in an early morning shooting that sent a man to the hospital.

Around 3:30 Saturday an officer heard several shots fired while inside Monkhouse Seafood.

The officer reportedly went outside to check things out and saw a man holding an automatic weapon.

The officer then shot the alleged gunman. The man fled in his car and was later found on Midway and Hearne Avenue.

Police say the man had fired at least four times before he was shot by the officer. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

No word yet on his injuries.

The names of the officer or gunman haven't been released yet.
