New Look at Damage from Saturday Storms

The National Weather Service is in northeast Louisiana today to determine if a tornado touched down during Saturday's severe storms.

West Monroe -- The National Weather Service is in northeast Louisiana and south Arkansas today to determine if a tornado touched down during Saturday's severe storms.

The storm left a trail a damage in Lincoln, Union, and Ouachita Parishes. Damage was also reported in Chicot County, AR where at least one injury was reported.  

No injuries were reported in Louisiana. 

The Books-a-Million store suffered significant damage. The front of the store was literally ripped off during the storms.

Roof damage was also reported to Monroe’s Office Depot, Kilpatrick Funeral Home, and the Strauss Theatre.

The maintenance building at ULM suffered damage, as well as the campus Christmas Tree was destroyed in the storm. The tree cost ULM $10,000 when they bought it a few years ago.

A row of chicken houses were also damaged in the Cedartown area of Lincoln Parish.

The Newsstar reports that a chicken grower lost 30,000 chickens in Downsville.
