UPDATE: Murder Trial For Two El Dorado Teens Postponed

17-year-old's Eric Malone and Kametrice Richmond are charged with the July 2013 murder of 27-year-old Eric Lashun Williams.

UPDATE: The murder trial for two El Dorado teens, scheduled to begin in April, have been pushed back to June 2. 

17-year-old Eric Malone, and 17-year-old Kametrice Richmond were charged with murder in the 1st degree, for the July 13th, 2013 death of 27-year-old Eric Lashun Williams.

, AR. – The murder trial for two El Dorado teens, scheduled to begin next week has been pushed back to April 1st, due to scheduling conflicts with a key witnesses.

17-year-old Eric Malone, and 17-year-old Kametrice Richmond were charged with murder in the 1st degree, for the July 13th, 2013 death of 27-year-old Eric Lashun Williams. 

According to a probable cause affidavit, Williams was found with a single fatal gun-shot wound to the chest at his apartment on July 13th. Witnesses told police that both suspects openly spoke about killing Williams due to a debt on July 12th.  On July 13th, both suspects were seen near the residence, minutes after the shooting. 

Malone admitted to police that he was at the residence before the shooting to discus the debt, but denied shooting Williams. 

On July 25th, Police searched Richmond’s residence, and found a .357-caliber revolver under his mother’s bed.

Both Malone and Richmond were subsequently arrested on July 31st and remain in Union County Jail. 

First-degree murder is punishable by 10-40 years or life in prison.

The trial is set to begin on April 1st and should continue through the 4th
