Monroe to Host State Ethics Training for Louisiana Public Servants October 9 & 10

City of Monroe to host free State Ethics Training for Louisiana Public Servants.
MONROE -- Mayor Jamie Mayo and the Monroe City Council join the City of Monroe Human Resources Division to make the following announcement:

WHAT: City of Monroe to host FREE State Ethics Training for Louisiana Public Servants.

WHEN: Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 1pm to 2pm; and, 3pm to 4pm AND
Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 9am until 10am

WHERE: Monroe Civic Center - B.D. Robinson Conference Hall

WHY: According to our state law, each elected member, appointed member, and employees of a municipality (part-time, full time, compensated or not) is considered a public servant and is governed by the Louisiana code of Governmental Ethics.

LA-R. S. 42:1170A requires every public servant in the state to attend a one hour Code of Governmental Ethics Training for Public Servants per calendar year.

NOTE: All attendees must sign-in at the Registration Table, and must bring their Louisiana Drivers License to be scanned for attendance records.
