Monroe Carjacking Suspect Still on the Loose

An unknown man got into a woman's car and pointed a gun at her, telling her to get out.
MONROE -- At 9 p.m. Saturday, Monroe Police arrved at the scene of a reported carjacking in the 3900 block of Polk Street.

They said their investigation revealed a female victim was sitting in her 2011 GMC Yukon when a black male subject, standing at 6'1" with an average build in his mid-40s wearing all dark clothing, entered her vehicle and pointed a handgun at her, telling her to get out of the vehicle.

The victim did as instructed and the suspect fled the area in the Yukon.

The vehicle was located a short time later on Mississippi Street through the use of the ONSTAR system.

The suspect, however, was not located after a K-9 search of the area failed to produce any leads.
