Mississippi Plant Fire

First responders are on the scene of a raging fire at a bio-diesel plant in Mississippi.
New Albany, MS -- First responders are on the scene of a raging fire at a bio-diesel plant in Mississippi.

Firefighters are keeping a close eye on this fire at the north Mississippi bio-diesel plant in New Albany.

Authorities say it is burning too hot for firefighters to approach so they are letting it burn out.

A Mississippi highway patrol spokesman said there were workers at the plant but it is unclear at this time if all the workers are accounted for or if there are any injuries.

The plant employs five people and makes diesel fuel from cottonseed and other materials.

Workers at two nearby businesses have been evacuated as a precaution.
