Mike Strain to Speak at Monroe Chamber of Commerce 93rd Annual Meeting and Banquet

The 93rd Annual Monroe Chamber of Commerce Meeting and Banquet is scheduled for Thursday, January 9 at the Monroe Civic Center.
Monroe -- The 93rd Annual Monroe Chamber of Commerce Meeting and Banquet is scheduled for Thursday, January 9 at the Monroe Civic Center.

Mike Strain, Commissioner of Louisiana Agriculture and Forestry will give the keynote address. Commissioner Strain oversees all functions of the state relating to the promotion, protection, and advancement of agriculture and forestry. In addition, his office is responsible for promoting, protecting and advancing agriculture and forestry, and soil and water resources in Louisiana.

The 2013 recipients of the Rambin-Silverstein Award and the Kitty DeGree Foundation Lifetime Business Achievement Award will be announced following Strain’s keynote address.

In addition, 2013 Chamber Chairman, David Hampton, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer for Progressive Bank, and 2014 Chairman elect Tim Green, CPA/Partner with Allen, Green and Williamson, LLP, will offer comments on the state of business in Northeast Louisiana.
