Man Arrested for Firing Gun Outside Fast Food Restaurant

Police arrest a man after they say he shot at a car carrying a woman and child in the parking lot of a Monroe fast food restaurant.

Monroe -- Police arrest a man after they say he shot at a car carrying a woman and child in the parking lot of a Monroe fast food restaurant.

Investigators say authorities recieved reports of a man firing a gun outside the McDonald's on 1-65 south tonight around 7.

They say Michael Williams got into an argument over money with a woman in a car.

As she drove away, police say the 21-year old man shot 5 to 8 rounds aimed at the car with the woman and a 6 year old child inside.

Eyewitnesses say Williams then entered the store showing off the gun and bragging about what he'd done.

Police caught up with him not far from the restaurant.

There are no injuries reported.

Monroe Police say Williams is facing two counts of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Firearm. He's booked into OCC - bond pending.
