Louisiana Voucher Enrollment Grows

The number of students enrolled in the Louisiana voucher program is growing.
Baton Rouge -- The number of students enrolled in the Louisiana voucher program is growing.

Information released Monday from the Department of Education shows that 6775 students are currently enrolled in the voucher program.

Last year the number of students taking part was just under 5,000 students.

In northeast Louisiana, there are 8 school taking part in the voucher program with 356 enrolled students.

Park Vista Elementary School in St. Landry Parish, the only public school taking part in the voucher program, has 24 students enrolled.
