Long-Time Monroe Business Closing Down

A Monroe business that's been going since the 1960s is now closing its doors for good.

MONROE -- After three generations, a long-time Monroe business is calling it quits.

After 45 years in business, Zeagler's Music on 18th Street is closing their doors for good.

The business was started back in 1969 by the parents of current owner, Grayson Zeagler.

Zeagler said today's economic conditions are part of the reason for closing, but he thanks all those who have supported them through the years.

"All these years, all these wonderful people who have come in and we have great relationships," Zeagler said. "I hope that they will continue for ever.  All those years that they have been coming and supported us, we just want to say thank you so much."

Zeagler's brother, Fred, owns the store in Baton Rouge which will remain open.
