MONROE -- Some familes in need will have a great Christmas thanks to the generosity of Monroe's Junior League.
Members adopted children and their families from the Salvation Army Angel Tree. They purchased toys and other items on their wish list.
The junior league does this each year as a way of giving back to the community.
"Taking in some angels every year just really gets everyone in the Christmas spirit and the Chrismas mood and also we're able just to give back to the families that need it," said Jennifer Ables with the Junior League.
This year the junior league adopted 50 angels.
