Investigation Continues on Christmas Eve Homicide in Monroe

Local authorities are investigating a Christmas Eve homicide in Monroe.

MONROE -- The investigation continues in a Christmas Eve homicide in Monroe.
    
Ouachita Parish Sheriff deputies were called to a welfare concern at the 700 block of Roberts street that evening.
    
They found the body of  53-year old Calvin George.  He had been stabbed several times.
    
We spoke to George's neighbor who said she last saw him the week before. 

"He used to check up on me to see how I'm doing," said neighbor Ariese Elzie. 

She says she's in complete shock.

"His porch light wasn't on, normally, he has that light on. but i never saw a light for the last 4 or 5 days," said Elzie. "Makes me feel horrible, because I didn't think no body would do him like that."

MONROE -- Local authorities are investigating a Christmas Eve homicide in Monroe.

On December 24th around 8 p.m., Ouachita Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a welfare concern at the 700 block of Robert Street in Monroe. 

Upon arrival, deputies found 53-year old Calvin J. George deceased inside the residence. 

Authorities investigation revealed that George had been stabbed multiple times. 

Investigators have been interviewing family members along with neighbors in an attempt to establish various time lines.
