Insurance Enrollments Rise in AR and LA

The numbers of Louisiana and Arkansas residents who were able to sign up for health insurance through the federally-run online marketplace is going up.
Little Rock/Baton Rouge -- The numbers of Louisiana and Arkansas residents who were able to sign up for health insurance through the federally-run online marketplace is going up.

In Louisiana, nearly 2,200 people enrolled, in Arkansas just over 1,400 people enrolled.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released enrollment figures through the end of November. The figures showed about 137,000 people had completed the full process to get coverage across the 36 states using the federal website.

Those seeking coverage have filed 32,300 applications in Louisiana and 34,591 applications in Arkansas.
