Green Clinic Hosts Competition to Benefit Relay for Life

Doctors in Lincoln Parish helped patients fight cancer in a creative way while providing treatment.
RUSTON -- Earlier this month, doctors in Lincoln Parish helped patients fight cancer in a creative way while providing treatment.

In efforts to raise awareness and funds for the parish's relay for life - the staff at Green Clinic hosted several in house competitions among departments for patients and survivors.

Employees say the survivor arm bands donated from the pharmacy staff and the goody baskets from the physical therapy department have brought contributions from every employee in the clinic as the parish prepares for the big night on May 3.

"Starting with preventing it raising money for research and celebrating survivors as well as unfortunately mourning keeping the memory alive of lost loved ones is very important" said Dr. David Osafo.

All funds collected from the clinic will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
