Jackson, MS -- An early-morning fire destroys the Salvation Army thrift store in Jackson, Mississippi.

Captain Ken Chapman of the Salvation Army estimates the damage at $1-point-5 million or more.

Chapman says the store was at near capacity, because of holiday donations, making this the worst time of the year for a fire.

The Jackson Fire Department sent 12 units to the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but fire officials think it made be electrical.
