OUACHITA PARISH -- Officials with Ouachita Parish Schools say that erroneous information about school closings this week is being passed around.
The communications coordinators says there is a picture of their website from last year being passed around where the dates are changed to show present day, claiming they will be closed until Wednesday for bad weather.
Schools district officials say they are concerned that many parents will see the fake web posting and believe that school is out.
School district officials are assuring that there is school this week.
From Superintendent Webber on the school district's website, www.opsb.net:
"School will resume as scheduled on the morning of Monday, January 6, 2014. Apparently, a jokester has cloned our site and posted that weather will keep us from resuming class. That is not the case, and we'll see you in class on Monday morning."
